c. 100,000 american soldiers, mercenaries & contractors currently
operating in afghanistan with an unestimated amount of drones
attacking in both afghanistan & pakistan.
c. 400 american/coalition bases covering the afghan countryside.
c. 300 ANA (afghan national army) & ANP (afghan national police)
bases filling the country---most built and maintained by the
united states.
&
2001-2011
the war in afghanistan will have cost the united states 455.4
billion dollars by the end of the 2011 fiscal year.
and yes, osama bin laden has been killed.
