Perspective and Boundaries
We have only windows
Past the walls that people build
A narrow view to whatever is on display
All relationships are mirages viewed through double glazing
Windows that can get dusty or damaged,
Thus the best relationships are patient
And simple, as the glass is lovingly cleaned
No complaints
Just happiness because you want to see with as much clarity as possible
The face that you fall asleep thinking about.
It is only those who are willing to love through the window
That will feel the breeze as it is opened.
That window is theirs
Your love alone does not earn you the key
Do not presume to know what they have hidden in the closets and back rooms
When the curtains are drawn,
They have not wronged you
Instead of breaking the window
Knock gently on the glass
Ask, kindly
It may be opened for you.
