Personalised Ringtone

She said "I just wanted to be your screensaver and have a personalised ringtone"
But you want to see how many one night stands you can bring home
She said you're the reason why broken hearted females sing songs
I threw away a good girl cause I didn't want to give her a personalised ringtone

I lost a good girl and I have to live with that
She wanted the little things, I couldn't even give her that
I could say I was young, but I've used that excuse one too many times
Your picture will come together but I wasn't meant to be in the design

I thought love was a game won, by who slept with the most females
Now as an older man I've realised that's nothing to do with the details
But I can't go back and change my younger dumb ways
Two sides to a story, but this relationship only went one way

I loved you deep down, but I had far too much pride on top of it
My heart was too damaged and you got lost in it
I apologise from the bottom of my pen, cause that's where I'm most truthful
You were an amazing girl and really beautiful

All you wanted was a personalised ringtone
Looking back, you were the girl I should bring home
You were the girl I should have put a ring on
All you wanted was a personalised ringtone
