When I reckon the grief cost my soul sinks I knew, still had time, yet seems I shall not I will ne'er craft a tune with soul in jot It hurts that I didn't believe my own jinx Awe swept on me, my gaze fell on my love Vital key signs and low warmth spell sure doom, Death jolts me up and pulls out of the gloom With a crash of bark, my heart rose above I smelt a toned whiff as my soul vanished The brain sway rose a few times after death, I reveal all; I'm thrilled to find a scale Grin wooed to sin, and soul ne'er felt ravished Brain cluck rose a few minutes after death If you save me, I'll jump the eerie trail Written: April 05, 2023 I Died Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Craig Cornish Checked by HMS.COM/ 10 Syllables per line

i didn't enter the contest but in a poem I wrote some weeks ago, I also die, but I want to live and love as long as God grants me. Great poem my friend Lasaad, and appropriately sombre. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

This is dark, gloomy...but very deep. Every rhyme is a msterpiece.

Appropriately forlorn poem you wrote my friend. I felt the gloom of life as it ends. Best to you, Lasaad.

Encountering one's own demise is one of the most puzzling experiences of life. You have beautifully described the 'agony and ecstasy' of it ! Well done dear friend. All the Best!
