As I look at ocean on winter day
Nor'easter whips up a towering rage
Perpetual motion having its way
Many hours endured of fearsome rampage.
To walk the cliffs and wonder at seascape
Lighthouse stands tall amid ongoing storm
Wrapped in foul-weather gear I feel awake
Powerful element tantrums perform.
Long established perpetual motion
At one with nature's tempestuous mood
Stirring up primordial emotion
In tune with the storm do not feel subdued.
Horizon obscured quite invisible
Ocean's power, in truth, formidable
