Permanent Stalker

Sadness seems to follow me
It follows me everywhere I go
Around each and every corner
Its face it will not show
Stepping on my heels
And poking at my back
This monkey that sits on my shoulder
This stalker I continue to attract
Like an eternal companion
Whom I can never lose
A companion always with me
Even when I turn to the boo’s
Drinking with this sadness
Makes things only worse
Through drunkenness and irresponsibility
It feeds
My Companion seems to be a curse
With a spell so strong and full of might
Like a Love potion set aside by god
For my companion, Sadness and I
