Periscope Vision
“come back, come back, oh wisdom from your flight
ignite our heart, that we too see the light”

Disjointed thoughts written the night before
Retrieved next morn for a final review
Clear light of dawn, has now dimmed their allure
We doublethink drunken resolves anew
Recognising repression not the way
Sublimation too not finality
We go to the roots of why our heart sways
Manifesting within turbidity
Affirmations made, all fleeting cravings
Seeking fructification of outcomes
Fulcrum unstable, our goalposts shifting
We go in, slowing ego momentum
Musing upon our thus far life journey
We know now, why happiness elusive
Whilst objects of desire are aplenty
Joy in permanence remains reclusive
We have then, external ephemeral
Bubbles of illusion, like wisps of smoke
Then there is the internal eternal
A heart throbbing with love, as God bespoke
Reflecting thus upon heart impelled thought
We are able to discern origin
On one hand we have those lower mind brought
On the other, love vibration virgin
Recognise oh hermit, inner craving
Feel within our heart, Gods love beckoning
