Perhaps... In a Moment In Rhyme.
Perhaps it was the way you held my hand
serenade out of my shell
Crystal shards airborne and blown toward the wind
in the moment I dared to exhale
Perhaps it was the way you kept me warm
blanket of wool and of words
A gesture of kindness as you passed by the fire
and left me there, thoughts undisturbed.
Perhaps it was the way your eyes met mine
invisible connection for miles
We traced every thought with a delicate touch
in woven irrefutable style
Perhaps you'll never feel my pulse run thick
caught up in life and in time
but I'll seal you a kiss in mulled wine and wax
and you'll live in this moment in rhyme...
