Perfecting Our Union
A frail first force binds each to each other,
to be really free we must all agree;
true glue should hold values together,
respect all life, let every human be.
Pray that those elected will do what's right -
vision's birth born by mere majority.
Trusted sworn swords do battle through the night
we wake to see our tattered flag fly free.
Lead to do what we know we should.
With moral might in sight, we march as one;
tempered by Founder's views of common good,
form brittle bedrock into firm union.
Find integrity in what we have done -
when we agree freely, freedom has won.
