Perfect Light

Oh, star that shines the perfect light Looking down in black of night When sun and moon have lost the fight To free a heart and still the fright Can you see the fear that steals That robs a soul of all it feels And to the spirit, as it kneels Shatter truth the Word reveals But if the sun would finally rise On distant hills, in clear blue skies Could you again with tear-filled eyes Forgive the demon and the lies

In the depth of the soul. Fear and love have nothing in common. Yes your poem is great.

Hi, Charlie. Thank you for your kind words. Funny thing about this poem, and others of mine as well! I needed to read it 15 or more times before I got a vividly clear picture of what it said to me. And then I wonder how the words got put together in that manner in the first place. Your poetry is beautiful. Does it sometimes bring out these same thoughts in you?
