Perfect Forgiveness
I wonder what perfect forgiveness feels like,
Peace?
Warmth?
Happiness?
Nothing?
Forgive and forget they say,
If we forget, what do we have to forgive?
If we forgive and can’t forget,
Have we really forgiven?
If we have forgiven and forgotten,
Later something brings the matter back to our mind,
And angers us again,
Do we have to forgive again?
If yes, and we forgive again,
Should we remember that so,
We don’t have to keep forgiving?
But if we do that,
And remember what we have forgiven,
We haven’t forgot after all!
Forgive me if this has wasted your time,
Forget I even brought it up.
