Perfect Crime

Like a thief in the night
Out of plain sight
You left as quickly as you came
You stole my heart
Right from the start
There was no one else to blame
You robbed me of my love
And all of the above
You left me feeling empty
You took what was mine
My heart and my time
And all I have left is a memory
Your mask hid your face
Your intentions and my fate
I didn't know the real you
I've put on the pads and locks
Started a neighborhood watch
To warn others of what not to do
I should have called the cops
The love special ops
You are America's most wanted
My heart is now caged in
Refuse to be a victim again
I will forever be daunted.

I love the rhyme scheme you have used here. The cadence is consistent and catchy. Well done.
