People Were Proud

I read and learn, trying to work out 
the problems of the world
trying to develop solutions
to overcome world problems

Are my ideas financially viable
if we teach people to become investors
building desalination plants 
can they make a reasonable profit

would it be cost effective 
to build desalination plants
to take water our to farmers
can we build an effective system
 
Irrigating the land
from desalination plants 
would overcome problems
stopping farms from being dependant on rain

would produce more food for the community
week after week farmers fight against drought
sometimes the rain comes
and they feel better

but with climate change 
the droughts last longer
think big start small
teaching the workers
 
to become an investors
building one desalination plant 
at a time one small step for man
one giant leap for mankind

Irrigating the land 
so farmers are not 
dependant on rain
would see people 

overcoming other problems 
taking fresh water out of the ocean
could help reduce 
the chemical imbalance of the ocean

the melting north and south pole
are filling the ocean with fresh water
taking fresh water out of the ocean 
might help to keep the balance of nature

Using the media to stand up and shout
This is what we are doing about climate change
these are the solutions we are creating 
to overcome the problems of the future

Could see world leaders standing up to say
we are going to overcome world poverty
by creating jobs for all the worlds people
we are going to teach 

working people to become investors 
creating wealth for themselves
investing in clean world technologies
solar power, forestry, farms

Investing in companies
that make a profit, creates wealth
for the working people 
and jobs for the unemployed

when people have money
shops and factories 
have customers
creating a balance 

between the needs
of rich and poor
The rich need customers 
for their companies to be successful

The poor need wages and money
to feed their families
as a world we all need each other 
to be successful

Its been a long time
since people were that proud
the world leaders, build their 
reputations on their achievements

I am only one person 
one person can't change the world
but a world full of people working together
can change the world

You the other six billion people in the world
you can change the world
you can overcome poverty and climate change
working together you can change the world
