People Always Leave

Fool me, baby.
Tell me that I'm beautiful,
Tell me that you would never leave me.
People always leave,
Always turn their backs on sweetheart
And disappear into the ink.
What remains?
What is left but disappointment
And an empty gas tank?
Pour your sorrows into my cup,
And drink up, baby.
Promise me, fool me,
You won't leave.
