Pentacle of Swords

 I guess I’ll cry~
  a million origami stars,
watch them form
an endless sea of unwritten poems,
of how, once upon a sunrise,
you broke my igloo heart,
 left me bleeding
          rustic rhymes,
oblivious to the moon that
    breathes within….

Sometimes there is
         not enough time,
to write all these disappointments,
when life is a constant battle
  between light and dark,
while I remain the
empress of the sun,
still standing my ground,
amidst the bullet-powdered dreams,
and pentacle
     of seven swords,
unfolding reversed cards of
      learned deception.

Yet I still hope for rising
           morning jewels,
kissed with raining jasmines,
to wipe away these onyx tears,
  for I’ve long been fighting
dishonest thoughts
   clouding my hollow skies,
with greyest of fogs,
merged in the blackest of storms…

 These woes I scribble
    in zig-zag,
wishing someday, maybe,
     someone would see beyond
these hazy words,
   the paper-cut pain between
              eclipsed metaphors.

Maybe when swirling
         sapphires crack,
   and twirling topaz breaks,
this aching soul shall sing,
  create my own constellations,
design a cave of chalices filled
     with undying chemistry.

IE, you do have marvelous poetic ideas and expressions. What you create stands proud and beautiful. Life has many limitations on what we can do and have, but you do a lot with your words. Smiling!!

We hope that someday, someone sees and wants all of us. The beauty and the chaos. And they are able to heal our broken hearts or at least bandage it. "Sometimes there is not enough time, to write all these disappointments, when life is a constant battle between light and dark" The unwritten things are more than the written ones. If I wrote about just anyone and everyone who hurt me, I always feel like I would be giving them too much praise. They sometimes don't deserve to be immortalised.

I do hope you can create your own swirling cracks in the sapphire as so desired. Sapphire is a wonderful color, and the faceted stones are beautiful. Thanks for sharing this one. Sara K

Cheer up—my dear. Life is too short to dwell on misfortunes. Wipe those onyx tears, enjoy the fragrance of raining jasmines, create your constellations, and be happy. Delightful poem.

You've been crying origami stars? Oh wow.. so they didnt sparkle? I can feel the heartache in your words but also a sense of resilience and hope.. Your closing lines are particularly powerful, as you express a wish for someone to "see beyond these hazy words" and understand the "paper-cut pain between eclipsed metaphors." The image of creating "constellations" and designing a "cave of chalices filled with undying chemistry" is a beautiful metaphor for finding one's own path to healing and joy.

This arduous journey through life, often being scathed and marred by twists and turns and rife with disappointments is indeed challenging. But man has the power to see light emerging through 'the greyest of fogs and the blackest of storms' and one day the soul shall sing! Hold on to this hope. Is there another poet who can present the heartaches with greater poignancy ! Love your poetry dear Empress. Carve your own constellations and fill your chalice with life giving fluid, dear!

I enjoy this poem. Life asks much of us, sometimes too much. These words contrasts two worlds, a world of expectation and a world of uncertainty.
