Listen to poem:

Pen To Friend Unborn

Maybe one day
you'll just
say thanks for
having me,
rearing me,
putting up with me,
parrying all my foibles,
and quaint weaknesses,
thanks for loving me, just as I am,
for loving you, just as you are,
two beings, friends,
brought here together,
momentarily, feebly,
caringly connected,
you to me
me to you
a pair.
