a lovely Haiku about pears and their blossoms. My mother had a pear tree in our backyard. I remember those pretty, white blossoms. wonderfully done, Sara

Thank you, Sara B. We usually have a very large crop but not a pear this year except for an Asian pear that my husband planted in our regular garden when he cut down the size of the garden. Sara K

Andrea, They are really nice in the spring in full bloom. It was in full bloom in the spring this year but a cold snap killed all the possibility of any pears. I like the Bradford Pear Trees that are just for their beauty but do make a small pear that some birds do enjoy eating. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Your haiku is very much to the point. Pity to lose fruit.

Yes, it was a bad time when we had the weather that did not agree with a crop, but I am thankful it was not a cash crop for us. I am sure some farmers somewhere though we touched by the loss in the wallet. Your visits add a special touch. Sara

Beautiful haiku, dear Sara ! Though pears are not so popular, I love this fruit with its juicy and crunchy texture!

Valsa, I make pear pickle and pear preserves which my husband likes, and it is nice to have a crop. This year the trees are bare but we did have some figs and some berries. Thanks for dropping by . Sara

Awwn, such a beautiful and gorgeously carved haiku, I'm in awe of the flowery and resplendent imagery here "scattered white blossoms" Can be a reflection of scattered but still breathing hope~ love and light- Hiya :)
