The cabin sits on the edge of pond ground
Golden hues in the sky reflect all around
Where the pines and birch surround
Calm water, stillness and peace are found

Got the 'picture,' Heidi -- or should I say, the 'painting.' ... For the 'What-It's-Worth' department, probably a least 2 cents. My family and I stayed at 'Pine Grove Cabins' in Wisconsin Dells three summers in-a-row. And the scenery was quite similiar to what you described in this poem, amazingly. Then it went belly up in 2006. Oh, well...
