Peace Be Quiet

Please be quiet.
You incessantly talk to hide.
Your meaning is like ocean surf.
Constantly changing as the tide.
I don't care what you say,
because you say nothing of you.
Trying so hard to impress.
Things you know, things you can do.
These things mean nothing to me.
They hold absolute zero value.
Vocalize the man you are.
Tell me how you see the world.
Dreams, aspirations, hurts, desire;
relate how your life has unfurled.
I sit here trying to grow.
I read. I listen. I think. I ponder.
Rudely, you interrupt with noise,
spewing forth meaningless fodder.
How exhausting it must be.
Constant toil to measure your cup.
Now, please leave me in peace.
Hell, leave me in ruin. Just, shut up.
