Peace

Peace is so beautiful.
It's quiet and serene.
Sometimes it's a green pastoral scene.
It holds your hand in the dark.
  and hugs you tight.
It's a dark blue sky on a starry night.
It's holding a newborn
  gently in your arms
  and sleeping without fear of war and harm.
It's taking a walk 
  in the woods with your faithful dog
  and sitting quietly upon an old log.
Or, it might be "gone fishing" 
  in a small boat
  and watching little ducks as they float.
It's lying in bed 
  cuddling with the one you love
  and quietly thanking our God above.
