Peace

When the lotus
blooms

and the moon
hovers over
the sea

spilling its light
on the
waves below,

a lover’s kiss
tastes as sweet
as aged wine,

and peace wraps
our world
like a warm,
soft blanket;

if not today,
I pray it is
tomorrow.
