Peace
There will be peace
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7)
There will be peace
But there are also wars
Did the Bible say that?
Matthew 24:6
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars:
see that ye be not troubled: for all these things
must come to pass
but the end is not yet” (King James version)
What do I want to say?
We live in this world
But we are not of the world (John 15-17)
Our values, identity, and loyalty
are meant to come from God
“In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”
(John 16:33)
So you see
We cannot control everything
God is in control
From the moment we came into the world
To the time we have to leave
It’s all determined by God
We can never say nothing
determine nothing
It’s all done by the Living God
We are His “instruments”
“Offer yourself to God…as instruments of
righteousness” (Romans 6:13)
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act…” (Philippians 2:13)
“We are God’s workmanship…created…for good works” (Ephesians 2:10)
“My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isaiah 46:10)
“In all things God works for the good of those
who love Him…” (Romans 8:28)
Give you a piece of my mind
Not that kind of peace
