Paying Attention In January

Cold down to the bone. I hear the winter in the wind. I walk on ice and breathe in snowflakes.

That was my experience this January too. We'd just moved to a new area and the winds are chilling. Always a wind blowing across the plains of Ashley Springs. Not for long, they are in a building frenzy and soon every empty lot will be built upon. Do you mean "and breathe in snowflakes"?

oh my goodness, yes! thank you for catching that typo! This was inspired by a walk in a cold parking lot. My job requires some travel, and I walked in a lot of cold, Canadian parking lots this winter. I'd been reading about mindfulness, and was wondering if it would still be a relaxing experience in the cold!
