This life sustaining rock Blessed with mythical like powers And magical wonders to dazzle With colours from the pallette of universal creation With the ability to beautify and bring to life Places many fear or feel dead It plays a joyful song through various means Yet sometimes sings songs of lament But the power, and the wonderment Always takes away my breath And no matter what’s thrown at it No matter how we try and damage and exploit it Somehow it always comes back stronger, brighter Because this rocks a fighter And its fighting for nature, creation And its fighting still to sustain us And will still be here after we no longer exist And because of this we should honour and homage to it This rock, our home, always remember to nurture and love it.
