Pause To Reflect On Transitions and Changing Lives

We used to play with bubbles Jump ropes And swings Now we play with weapons Guns are our things We used to play with baby dolls Now we play with our babies Changing diapers daily Dependent on mommy and daddy We used to play with boys They’d hit us and we’d run Now we sleep with those boys They hit us and they run We used to believe in Mommy and Daddy Now everything they say is wrong We used to have RESPECT Now all of the we used to’s are gone
