Paupers Living On Counted Hours

What have we done to our blue skies what have we done to our land neglectful beings that we are we abused the works of His doting hand What made us think that we were Kings in a Kingdom not quite ours with Mother Nature maimed we're paupers, living on counted hours

So poignant and profound, it is a travesty what we have done to the earth, and your closing lines truly resonate -

It is sad that the We are few polluters that put greed over our health by putting toxic chemicals into rivers and seas and land and skies, not caring about our future or future generations. Most people I know care very much and they recycle and don’t litter. I like the strong message in your poem Vie. Blessings xxoo
