Pauperdom

Every drop of water counts ... since there is a scarcity, the world appears to be out of bounds and parity. What if ... water and meals are at the verge of paucity? suddenly ... the equilibrium steadiness is exhausted, proceed to battle and let our kids starve comported.

Mindless thinking and destructive decisions are being made throughtout the world today. Greed and power mongers are in control and our world is spinning into oblivion. Succinctly written verse my friend. Thanks for saying what needs to be heard and acted upon before it's too late. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Our natural resources are getting depleted everyday. Unless we are frugal in their use, the future generation will have to starve.... ! A dire warning, dear friend !

We have not idea what humans and animals on this earth might be facing from this time forward. You have written the idea in a very unique way. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Those insecurities you describe will soon become major events--life can't sustain without necessities. I like your message, Lasaad.

It does not have to be this way, but those in charge of the world (at the very top) are making it happen this way. This is what they WANT. So sad.

Your brief poem says so much about the sad state of affairs in the world today, Lasaad. This is a terrific rhyme. Best of wishes for the contest. :)

I often wonder Lasaad, was this world ever really in equilibrium, less populous of course, and less junk in the atmosphere, yet wars, rationing, and famine seem to be a constant throughout human history, it’s a wonderfully crafted poem, and your explanation to Kim brings perfect clarity, all the best in contest, cheers David

David, you are completely correct. I sometimes feel that we've lived too long to be able to see such anguish, poverty, and imbalance. Despite the fact that everything we have been seeing recently is really out of proportion, I was shocked to learn that hunger is in our midst.

I don’t understand the entire poem. Love the first line.

Thank you for your input, Kim. Since you liked the first sentence about water scarcity, the second is about global instability, the third is about food insecurity, the fourth is about global destabilization, and the last is the conclusion, all the money is for wars and children would starve.
