Paulette - 1
Paulette - 1
Our heroine, lovely Lady Paulette
Was doomed to a life filled with regret
As she gave her heart to a knight who met
His death while bravely fighting.
He was a handsome, valiant gent
Who loved his beautiful Lady Paulette
And as he died, his eyes were set
On her face, a wondrous sighting.
He last words uttered deep regret,
“I love you deeply, my lovely pet,
My beautiful, loving Lady Paulette,”
And his face was pallid and whitening.
He passed away, his eyes deep-set,
Fixed on the lovely Lady Paulette.
To this day her eyes become wet
With tears for love requiting.
