Notes About The Poem

Patiently I Await

they say to quiet the mind
and the soul will speak.
that’s what they say.

i quiet my mind
and i hear but silence.
sensing the mere surge of longing.

but the words do not come.
the knot inside still tight.
resisting and yet…

and yet they say to quiet the mind
and the soul will speak.
so I do but to no avail.

i get silence. silence.
i get more silence.
and silence is not always golden.

I could feel the pain in your words. Silence is not always a good thing. I enjoyed reading this poem.
