Patchwork

I have a picture, but it's not for you to see
You have a book, but it isn't meant for me
Tell me a story and read between the lines
I'll share copies of the thoughts that were mine
If you'll be my Romeo, I'll be your Juliet
Cut the macabre lines but we still have a set
Have you heard I'm insane, cause I swear that it's true
But I've got it all wrong and I just missed my cue
You knew I was more asleep than awake
And all these nice colors are just a mistake
I think I once knew her, but now she is dead
Maybe I'll be the next one to fall asleep in your bed
