Passover 2015

 7/5 trochee

Patience needed, watch the scene.
nature’s curtains pull.
Terra’s headed straight between
Sol and Luna full.

Luna fades on scheduled track,
sudden redness brims.
Luna looks at Terra's black,
glowing halo rim.

written 4 April 2015
recounting the lunar eclipse which occurred
during Jewish Passover, this Saturday morning.

Thank you, Jan. The blood being spread across the moon in passover style. I appreciate your comment, as usual.

This is quite stimulating work! I don't know if you are Jewish - I am. I did not know about this eclipse. Where are you writing from? I have a Passover poem on poetrysoup.com called "Passover - As Always". Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish

Thanks for your generous reply. No I am a Christian from the midwest USA. Highlight the link under the poem and you will find out about the lunar tetrad which is four lunar eclipses which occured April 2014, Oct 2014, April 2015 and the fourth will be in Sept of 2015...an interesting occurence between the sun, moon and earth. Glad you liked it. Peace and blessings to you also.
