Passionate Love

I put myself in your hands
You put me in your heart
I ran away from your will
You pursued me with fervor
I dug my heels in against the pain
You washed my bleeding feet
I saw you loved me - I raged
You held me til my tears
          washed away my understanding

Done with all my fears, I walked
You walked with me, and I found
           PEACE.

I have to admit, there is nothing like peace. It's weird, you don't know it is peace you search for, until you have it. Now that I do, I guard it above all things. I fight hard to keep my peace. I pray that you find rest in your walk. For me, it's the only way to live.

Thank you for understanding and enjoying my heart's drum beat. I absolutely thrill when I read poetry where the writer has laid bare their soul with no self preservation. It is the picture of innocent faith that children possess. Let's just say that "My LOVE" has reduced me to the faith of a child. He lavishes me with alien love...nothing in this world can compare. trudy
