Passion With a Pen

                       Passion with a Pen
                         Birth of a Critic
                              8/2/2023


           So excited was I, to gain a position.
           Something so dishonest was going on!
           I was so driven to right an evil wrong.
           My college paper, had me on a mission!

           Decades danced away,I forgot what it was.
           The Editor, with spine, would not remove my piece!
           Faculty grumbled, red-faced, without surcease.
           It went to press, entire campus alive and abuzz!

           That’s when my desire to write was born.
           The Muse to write blew clearly her horn..
           Call me, “The Ethical Vigilante!”
           I will go after any lies or propaganda, that is fake and scanty.

It’s been so many decades since college…but I was always writing after that. My husbands best friend and mine was a professor of English @ Loyola university in Chicago. We discussed poets endlessly and philosophers. I wrote poetry when I was younger.don’t know where iAnyway, I think I’d rather present myself as I am now.far more polished and mature.I had 2 websites once on poetry LONG AGO. The message was..always be genuine. The cost is being disliked. Too bad huh))))) if I can have a positive effect on the world,,hurrah, if I can help someone reach to be a better poet.. hurrah.POTDs are so fun. So are trophies. As I said to the other pro, it’s below here, that same principles and played today. I won’t look the other way when I see a wrong, and I won’t let people lie to me. Lies and I don’t get along very well. and I’m sure not with you either.. by the time we have on earth, is our chance to make a difference or just go along like a dead fish. I cannot do that. Life lived when people look the other way, when wrong is going on, is paving the highway to our destruction. I believe in construction. Sure, I get plenty of heat and few reads because Most of my writing is far from “cute”. A nice term used by kids for toys, but I won’t ever call a poem “cute.”Synonyms are in a thesaurus. It’s always good to stand on principle before being liked by personalities. This has been my way of life for 65 years. Is my third attempt to make a reply.. d it’s erases each one, thankf to the professor and the editor of the paper. That seem Ed to set a course from my life. Not only in writing but other areas or I thought wrong being done, I will call it out here, as well if I see it being done and I have, This is made people angry at me and that’s too bad.
