Passion For Life

To feel the fire once again, to breathe, laughing in the face of adversity
To be consumed in the flames, never assuming mortality
Dancing with the devil one step ahead with a gleam in my eyes
Standing on the bow, salt air screaming at a face 
Protected by determination, solid in the eye of the storm
Time, the enemy, gripping the body, slowing the process
Unable to imprison the soul. Freedom unleashed
Undaunted, I live, Embellished in the moment,
Knowing yesterday is gone, not fearing tomorrow
Weeping for those who have never lived
Reach beyond, touching distant galaxies
At one with the universe
Fly, fly, I can fly
Reveling in the very essence of life, joy
Embracing the chaotic in the face of the wind
Attacking the mediocrity of now, sword upraised.
Let it be this way until the shell is gone
And the soul continues the saga.
