Passed Away
I have not mourned my mothers passing
It's a celebration for The Lords everlasting
She is gone to a better place
No longer a problem that we face
All the way to the end we were there
Everyday showing the moments we cared
But today I wonder what mourning I share
Not one tear not here or there
I look at God in whom I trust with her care
Knowing one day I'll also be there
When Grandmother died she was mother too
I made my self cry on a wall it's true
I remember her saying "We don't know what's up there."
But it's God we trust"
I was just a child when she this told us
No ministers sermon could give me proof
Just the love of mother and what they do
I wish I could say "Mom I miss you"
But the way it all ended it's just not true
We cared for a body we wished were you
Speaking to us the way you use to do
But you were gone and all we had left
Was the body of a woman still filled with breath
