One business had a party implanting chips in employees' hands.

PARTY CHIPS

it may seem

like a party to you

all the same

     “there’s a curse on you” *

“let’s dip and have some chips”

dressed in sickle black, “...and now you’re mine”

   “try the atm first. such fun my daughters and sons.”

one laughs and asks about the 666 tattoos .

        “it’s all for fun. some weed, some rock’n roll. i offer all”

the music blares louder, insistently louder…

  “there’s a curse on you and now you’re mine!”

         “with a wave of your hand, the world is yours
                  throw away all your cards”

the Son of Man wouldn’t fall for his temptation
  but he’s taking prisoners with dip and party “chips”

the saints travel light
unable to buy or sell
on this perishing planet
God catches them in the air
as they fall

cursed and overexposed the planet, drunk and heavy
   is overcharged
                            payments due
