Parting Ways

A crossroad in life, decisions to make,
what's best, the path to take.
Considering all, emotions at bay,
has come a judgment day.

Expectations cloud what's true,
too close for understanding,
step back and see, what's meant to be,
it now comes into view.

The time has come for parting ways,
no more can come of this.
Thoughts of something bigger,
truly are amiss.

Our time to be, had come to pass,
oh so long ago,
can't change the fate that brings us here,
you and I both know.

A hard decision to be made, but one that must take place for moving forward in life.
