Part Time Poet
I fear not my quill and parchment as
time has not been on my side….
but I weep knowing my gift has not
been the same this year.
My depth was astounding and freely
real; metaphors swept with whispers
of truth.
Seasons rotate within my mind and
circumstances revealed my inner
needs.
I realized I dread not picking up my
quill, but worry what is to be written.
For I am but a withering poet seeking
praise and sadness at the same time-
a woman who has been to hell and
back inside years of miserable pain.
"For I fear not my quill and parchment,
as time has not been on my side-
But am afraid one day my muse will
soar into the vast crimson eventide."
