Parody To Kubla Khan
Sacred River calls to my soul heart
Surrounded by woods that keep us apart
In Xanadu surrounded by incense a plenty,
I find my mind alive with memories of me at twenty
A savage place beyond these well-kept garden hills.
Kubla Khan, rising in my imagination, giving me such thrills.
The ancient forest shows me spots of sunlit beauty.
I am bound to always love this place. It is my duty.
I hear the phantom woman wailing and keening.
Do not worry if you do not as the grass is greening.
Only the spiritually sound will hear her wailing away.
For her demon lover to join her at the break of day.
The sacred river brings ancestral voices to my mind.
A damsel with a dulcimer along with it, hair shiny, a find.
Singing of Mount Abora, she delights me with her symphony.
This memory of Paradise will follow me to infamy.
