Pardon Me, But I'M New To This Land

Pardon me, but I'm new to this Land I was told to rein in my tongue Or I'd be called racist and tossed in the can Pardon me, but I'm new to this Land I was told in public places not to pray Unless I'm Muslim, Buddhist or stray* *homeless or schizophrenic Pardon me, but I'm new to this Land I was told the policeman's not my friend Though I saw one a murderer apprehend Pardon me, but I'm new to this Land I was told that I'd never need work Uncle Sam will pay me all work to shirk Pardon me, I'm new to this Land But there is one thing I now understand ~ Why its citizens mock a flag once-so-grand
