Paradox of Life

Life says to death:

Why thou pursue me so,
Why not leave me be,
Why not just let me live?

Says death to life:

I am your flip side,
Your alter ego,
Your destiny;
I end what you begin,
But ah, there's no
beginning without me,
As without you, no ending.
You make me,
As I make you!

I am your life,
As, indeed, you
are my death!
