Paradise

i swim in the pools of your eyes lost in depths, a cascading thought stumbles through mind in misted cries wondering could your heart be sought? i've tumbled once on rocks of past drowning in the depths, my heart sank its echo, a thunderous blast left me jaded, a soulless blank my heart pounds fast, my mind thinks twice wondering is love what it seems is in you found true paradise or oasis of lusted dreams? i stand in this moment aglow lost within the depths of your eyes lured in the thrust of your shadow i surrender in breathless sighs September 26, 2019 N-A Rerun 3 poetry contest Sponsored by John Hamilton September 21, 2019 Picturesque Rhyme Poetry Contest n/a

I love the vulnerable and romantic beauty of your expressive poem, Sandra. Your last line is a stunning finale that has me surrendering to the unguarded emotions of this exceptional piece. Congratulations on your wonderful win. Warmest wishes always my friend.. ~Susan

Wow, you took the contest photo in an entirely new direction and I love it. A paradise among the flowing waters and the lush landscape, such a beautiful offering. Desire is definitely rushing through those waters.

Thank you Regina, what a sweet thing to say... this contest had a picture of a waterfall, this is just what my muse came up with for the given photo :) Blessings and hugs to you my friend

Cynic that I am, I went all in for the question in the third stanza "...or oasis of lusted dreams?" A bit surprised that the answer was Paradise, but secretly glad at heart. SUPER entry for the contest, Sandra! Best wishes, Gershon

She's been offering her dark tones, but throwing some beauty in...it all started with a few contests wanting beauty after my trip to montana, it seems that trip inspired me with some gorgeous images...i think my barren fields was the first of them, it got potd but this one was written for a contest off a beautiful image... thank you for your kind words my friend :) hugs

First ever rhyme I have seen from you --though I am sure you write them often enough. Indeed a picturesque write, Sandy..I heard the caution in the opening lines..but liked the turn.. lost in depth of eyes..can't go wrong there.

Thank you my friend...my rhymes are not often good, i struggle in them, i did the enclosed rhyme for dear hearts contest that was POTD, but i do not pen them often, only when a contest requires it and sparks my muse...:) hugs
