Dear Melani, this is quite a beautiful haiku! The imagery is so rich – the fragility of the paper castle contrasting with the magic of the glass slipper and the danger of the sea witch. It feels like a glimpse into a childhood dream, a world where fairy tales are real and anything is possible. Did you have a favorite story growing up? Thank you Daniel! I have always loved fairy tales and fantasy. My favorite film is Empire Strikes Back and as a kid for fairy tales? I always loved The Little Mermaid. The original tale.This haiku was inspired by some clouds that I saw one day .. to me they were like a staircase to a castle. Blessings
