PANGIE’s MEETING WITH GEORGE CHAKIRIS Of WEST SIDE STORY

4/3/2025 No, it was not a dream at all…. I was with George Chakiris by my personal request. No,I was not in with crazed teeny boppers in a hall. It was just George and I, from whom, I chose to learn from the best! I wish I could tell you how many times I saw,” West Side Story.” That night , we met, he was performing in Chicago at Mr. Kelly’s! He is far better looking, performing in person,’ tis his glory.. I was doing stand-up comedy then, and asking for a personal input! My entire being shook as jelly. The manager whispered “it’s time for your meeting with Mr. Chakiris now!” I did not what to do, I thought perhaps it was time to bend my knee and genuflect.! The manager took me to his room, he was so very tall, I breathed holy cow! I almost fainted,when he came right into my face, was I fascinated by my bodysuit. That said France on the left side.. George asked me how can I help you and I told him, “ to improve my stage presence.” I never experienced such an ‘electric-blue’sensuosity. It was as though,I were with a god from Olympus. Whence came his beauteous, hypmotic soul’s electricity? His gift lives on ……and shines forever in me! Lesson..”A beautiful life is created, by you being you!” By Pangie Romios

Nice story, Pangie. You definitely let the reader feel your suspense and hopes; like we were watching from as close as your shadow. I would call this an Autopoetryagraphy. You're great at writing these! I hope his advice helped, too.

Dearest David. Am listenimg to Samba by Jobim! The sounds get my mind going. Add French. Italian and John Coltrane,Piaf, etc. Spotify is awesome. I am still a beginning writer. Love Music and poetry~lift me off the ground! Awesome! I cannot compose in silence or with twisted news ugliness in the background.it masks the beauty of these not dead memories, that warm mind.and pen.Love your new word that describes my writes-)) dude.. Thank you for sharing this amazing story with all of us. This is so cool! I remember this actor because I did see West Side Story many times. The original version is the best.

Hi there Elena, many people who saw the original are now passed away. So they made the remake of it and it is really a dog of a movie compared to the original.. I am not afraid to express my thoughts here as you know. I realize that irritate people, but I will make no apologies for being me. Not one of us should ever do that unless we purposely try to destroy another poet.. To think that this place is beyond objectivity well that’s really ridiculous. Human beings are here and make mistakes here too.. so what?. let’s go as a mistakes and create beauty. Pangie xx. Thank you for reading this, some days in our life are special. Some are ho hum. This was not a ho hum day for me, I had to step out of my comfort zone And do something I was frightened to do. But in retrospect, it was one of the most beautiful days of my life. Pangie xx
