Palisades Palestine

Raging fires Raging fires
mansions destroyed Babies burned
a million tears the dead cannot cry
the winds are whispering the bombs are laughing
who stole your water supply? no aid allowed in
terrifying, natures justice Americas politicians sign the bombs
your Big Mac was burned while complete villages destroyed
a few people perished hundreds of thousands slaughtered
fools denying climate change fools committing genocide
missing a little water are we? missing hospitals, children covered in
                                                        blood
your white Jesus turned it to wine	Bethlehem under Zionist siege once more
go see the Resnicks go see Netanyahu
they stole most of your resources	he stole human organs, like a genocide
                                                        before
you suffered a few days Palestinians suffered 76 years
poetic justice Poets shot in the head
why should I care? when the USA sends billions
you will rebuild the mansions innocent lives, lost forever, by your hand
                                                        in crime

Wonderful, apt write and comparison, and I'm glad I looked back a few days to read. I honor your truthful telling, especially in column two. An unforgiving and tragic trade off with high real estate/stock prices for building bombs upon bombs.

Thank you, the more we speak up, the more we protest I truly hope for change.

Arthur. You have created a masterpiece that reveals the commonality of destruction from war and ignorance. You relate them in a creative and stark manner. It never ceases to amaze me how foolish we are to allow these things to occur. In both cases the seeds go back in time and there have been many missed opportunities to address the anger, greed, and mismanagement.

I see the pain..in both situations..one death for Each human..Is the fate of us all.' Yet to deliberatly cause death and suffering for gain? Its most abhorant..To me.' And I guess for many who see.? Which is the better human?? The one Who murders one.' Or the one who murders one Thousand.? To my mind neither.' My wish is to Negate hate and the killing it cannot validate Arthur.'

Great poem presents a stark contrast between the suffering of marginalized groups, particularly Palestinians, and the indifference or ignorance of those living in privilege, particularly in Western countries like the United States.
