To paint an image with words, I strive each day,
For words, written or spoken, affect how others feel.
So I give it much thought as each word I weigh,
pulling no punches, as heart’s contents I reveal.
At a time in my life when embroiled in strife,
and I thought death surely stood at my door.
Writing was a calling God placed on my life,
as a testimony of change from my life before.
