Painting My Way

My wall The paint is now chipping As cracks seem to appear almost magically Each day, a new crack, more paint chips on the floor My life What was strong now weakens As if problems just appear from mid air Each day, a new problem, more things to fix This painter wants to sleep Or rather hire someone else for the job It is always so tiring and at most times futile Why can’t someone else please bear the burden of this work? It is my job My responsibility I can have other painters But they should still report to me I will take control

I love the form Michael very appealing. Maybe that's when you know you have arrived when you hire others to do what you can do. Im all for it.

Michael - So you're a painter - One of my best friends is a painter - Years back in-between terms i helped him for a few months and I can certainly relate - Loved the layout of this poem - God Bless, MJ

I can relate to this, as I am noticing more cracks chips as the years wear on. Always in a state of needing repair. At least, hopefully, we learn how to make the repairs as we get older. Now, if we can only keep up with them! (lol) Great write, Love, Robin
