Painted Lips and Eyes

behind the painted lips and eyes
lay the truth full of lies
excuses turned to criticize
trying to please some other's lives
behind her painted lips and eyes
silent tears and pity cries
wishing that she couldve died
questioned why she even tried
behind the painted lips and eyes.
