Paint the Sky With Stars
The vast midnight blue
Ready ..............
Ready, for my stars too
Reaching for my pallette,
no words needed................
I was all set
This midnight sky seeded
I painted the sky with stars
Jupiter and Mars.............
Saturn and its rings........
So many wondrous things
Mercury and Pluto.........
The beautiful Venus light,
especially bright!
Such heavenly bodies so!
These stars I hold
The stories they told!
The midnight sky................
begins to unfold
I painted the sky with stars
Each one held a thought
A special light
This I wrought,
to illuminate the night
The Earth light
A jewel so bright!
No blue can compare
to this colour ...so rare
Uranus, so far from home
Somehow not alone
The Milky Way,
an accidental brush at play
I painted the sky with stars
This deep blue
Now, you can know it too
Starlight................
Falls on you
