"Paint" -Part the First-

Paint paint paint away...
Paint away this day...
Paint to paint our taint is paint...
Paint away this day...

Keep that paint away from me!
Says that Skipper to his krewe...

Why oh Captain... Why our Captain...
Should we keep this paint from you?

Paint the curse doth foul me verse...
Doth blotch me sails a'green...
Keep yer paint & away with ye...
Stay that paint from me!

I'll take those buckets...
I'll toss 'em rightly...
Sprightly now o'er 'er side...
Fer me ship shall not... nor e'er shall be...
Painted like frilly bride!

Paint such curse doth foul me wood...
Marks so then wher'er I've stood!
Take yer paint & call yer saint...
I've 'ad all whot e'er I should!

But Cap'n Oh Cap'n we need this paint!
Fer to save yer ship from doom...
We paint as saints so not to faint...
Stay ye from these awful fumes!

Drat ye lads get now below...
To lockers paint ye'll stow!
I'll 'ave not one single drop...
On me booms or decks below!

Damn that paint...damn that paint...
Run a'muck thus on me deck!
Fumes as blooms o'roses tunes...
Me ship she's gone a'wreck!

Aye Cap'n yet so 'tis thus...
A'paint yer ship we must!

Nay nay!...Off wid'st ye!
Outta me sight damn brush!

Oh so Cap'n... Aye now Cap'n...
Do listen to our plea...
We must we must... now we must...
Paint this entire sea!

This sea? My sea! Ye'll not so do with glee!
I'll rake yer mops wid feathry stops...
So as to run yer paint all free!

Oh-no Oh-no Oh Cap'n so...
Not those feathry stops!
We'll only paint that deck a'glow...
Just wid our bristled mops!

Be damned be drat these awful lads...
They be no salty krewe...
Landsmen all & certain cads...
Painters all the lot!

'Tis sailors I'll 'ave & 'elmsman I'll wish...
Toss these painters to 'ungry fish!
I'd rather 'ave than painters now...
Me ol' krewe o'drunken sots!

Paint Paint Paint these decks !!
Paint away all day!
We'll paint the booms wid our brooms...
No matter whot our Cap'n say!

Drat-be-doggled me ship she's run amuck...
Paint in 'er scuppers & 'er crew all stuck!
Winds all whistlin' wid paint a'bristlin'...
Me seas 'ave gone awry!
I've now got damn painted spot...
In me damned & only eye!!

Best to test this painting lot...
Wid rum o'barrels below...
Fer not that paint should they drink...
Lest their bellys be a'glow!

Avast ye lads! Avast ye now!
Sup this grog now so!
Take yer paint now o'er the side...
Heave them buckets Ho!
